Squibler Review 2026: Full-Book Generation and What It's Actually Worth
Squibler is a US web tool that promises to generate an entire 200 to 300 page book from an idea, with a free plan of 1,000 AI credits a month and paid tiers whose prices do not match from one end of its own pricing page to the other. If you want a machine to produce a manuscript, it does what it says, with the caveats raised by independent reviews; if you want to write a book, it will not help you do that. What Squibler promises
The homepage, as of September 23, 2026, leads with three things: "Generate a full 200-300 page book", "Edit your entire manuscript instantly with AI", and image generation. Around that, book and screenplay templates, a consistency promise ("Keep characters, plot, and structure consistent"), a Discord, writing contests and events. Co-writing on several books is mentioned for the Pro tier, without further detail. The interface is in English only; no other interface language was observed.
What the page does not detail, and therefore cannot be claimed: an offline mode, character sheets inside the product (templates exist on the blog), statistics, a spell checker, ePub export. PDF and DOCX export is reserved for the Plus tier.

That is the table. Further down the same page, the FAQ states $16 a month ($192 a year) and $49 a month ($588 a year). Two sets of numbers for the same plans, on a single page. Not dramatic, but it is the kind of detail that tells you how a page is maintained. How many words a credit buys is not stated either.
The free plan is real, with no time limit. Its 1,000 monthly credits are enough to try the tool; they are not enough to "generate a book", which is consistent with the business model. Two independent reviews, consulted on September 23, 2026. Reedsy gives it 2.5 out of 5 and calls the AI output "generic or over-the-top". Kindlepreneur describes it as a decent tool but not a first choice, and reports lag. Neither is enthusiastic; neither says it does not work.

Generating a whole book is not writing a book
Take a fictional idea: "A lighthouse keeper discovers that the ships she guides do not exist." A 200-page generator has to make, on your behalf, a few thousand decisions: the keeper's name, her age, whether she finds out in chapter 2 or chapter 14, whether she tells anyone, how it ends. It makes each of those decisions by the average: the most probable one, the one the largest number of texts have already made. The result is a book; it is not your book, because you decided nothing in it.
Writing is making those decisions one at a time, often against the average. The keeper is called Odile, she is 61, she finds out in chapter 2 and tells no one for ten chapters, because you decided the novel is about that silence. No generator will choose that for you, and that is the point made in why our AI never writes a word.
