Privacy Policy

1. Controller

The controller for personal data processed through Sagoræ (sagorae.com, sagorae.app, sagorae.fr) is Robin Thomas EI, sole proprietorship, 78300 Poissy, France. Contact: contact@sagorae.app.

2. Data we process

We process account details, profile preferences, manuscripts and planning content, subscription status, writing statistics, and support messages to provide and secure the service. Stripe processes payment data; Sagoræ does not store card numbers.

3. Your private writing

Your novels, chapters, and notes are private unless you explicitly share or publish them. Sagoræ does not use your manuscripts to train AI models, does not sell them and does not transfer them to anyone. When you request an AI-coaching action, the necessary passage and useful context are sent, through our host Base44, to an AI model provider (mainly OpenAI; Base44 may also use Anthropic or Google) only to produce that response.

Important. Base44 has confirmed to us in writing that, under the hosting plan we currently use, data stored in the app, including your manuscripts, may be used by Base44 to train AI models, and that no setting currently lets us turn this off. We are looking at ways to remove this possibility. In the meantime, if this is a concern, you can export and then delete your content at any time from My account, or write to us.

4. Legal bases and retention

We process data to perform our contract, meet legal obligations, protect the service, and—where required—based on consent. Account data is retained while your account is active, then deleted after the applicable safety and legal-retention periods.

5. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or export personal data. Account tools let you export your data and request account deletion. EEA/UK users also have GDPR rights and may complain to their supervisory authority. US residents may contact us to exercise applicable state privacy rights. Sagoræ does not sell personal information.

6. Service providers and transfers

We use service providers including Base44 for hosting, Stripe for payments, and AI-model providers for requested coaching responses. With your consent only, we also use advertising measurement tools from TikTok (TikTok Technology Limited, Ireland) and Meta; their data may be transferred outside the EU, including to the United States and, for TikTok, China. Appropriate contractual and security safeguards apply to service-provider processing and international transfers.

7. Cookies and analytics

Sagoræ uses essential session and local-storage technologies, which do not require consent.

Audience and advertising measurement tools (Google, Meta, TikTok) are only loaded with your consent, collected through the banner shown on your first visit, on the website and in the app. They tell us whether our ads lead to sign-ups and subscriptions. No email, name or writing is ever sent to them, and nothing is loaded without your consent. You can decline as easily as accept and change your mind at any time with the "Manage cookies" link at the bottom of our pages. Your choice is kept for 6 months. If you are signed in, it is also saved to your account so you are not asked again on your other devices.

If you arrive from a campaign, we also keep the campaign name (utm parameters in the address) in your browser and, once you sign up, on your account. This stays with us and is never shared with any platform.

8. Security

Data is transmitted over HTTPS and access is isolated by account. No online service can promise absolute security; we maintain safeguards appropriate to the nature of the data and notify affected users when legally required.
